Privacy Issues

Your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal health information are of critical importance in mental health services.  The code of ethics for psychologists as well as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) mandate that all information about you be protected and that any disclosure of your protected Health Information (PHI) requires your written consent.

Exceptions to this policy include issues of your safety or that of another person or a court order for records, as in custody litigation.

(Details of this HIPAA agreement and Privacy Policies are found in this site as well as the authorization for the release of information at your request.)
